Our law firm client wanted to streamline
their sector approach, as part of a strategic
planning review. We worked closely with the
Project Sponsor to capture client insight on a
number of criteria, including perception and
positioning, competitor activity, sector
insight, relationship management and value
and visibility of Client Partners.
We worked through all stages of the project
from setting objectives, designing question
templates, Client Partner de-briefs, carrying
out face-to-face and telephone reviews with
30+ strategic clients.

Over a six-month period, we worked with a group of Client
Relationship Partners on a series of client review meetings
for key clients. This included preparing for the reviews;
creating review summary reports; agreeing agendas with
the client; preparing the Client Partner for the review,
attending reviews as the Client Relationship Manager and
managing follow up actions with the in-house client team
and the client.

We worked closely with the Director of
Marketing and Client Relationship Manager,
to create an Independent Client Review
approach, focused on service delivery and
future legal requirement for the firm’s top
100 clients. Together we created toolkits,
question templates, post review reports and
hosted an Independent client review skills
workshop for the in-house team carrying out
independent reviews.

We ran a series of Associate skills workshops for a top
niche law firm in the tech sector, covering the practical
skills required to manage client relationships and support
Client Relationship Partners. The sessions included using
client listening skills and techniques, how to draft client-led
plans and how to prepare for “stand-out” client
relationship meetings. The interactive workshops also
looked at how to manage ongoing actions across the client
team and how to manage opportunities to win more work,
using team exercises and case studies.
